Tri-State Falcons (TSF) was founded in August 1991, with the late Michael Grannum being the first coach and secretary of the club, and Jeffrey Grosvenor being the initial president.
TSF is comprised of players mainly from the West Indies: i.e. Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago. However, in the club's eleven years of existence, we've had players from Germany and as far south as Australia, and as Far East as India.
Since our inception into the NorthEast Field Hockey Association (NEFHA) league, TSF has won the league title 6 times (most notably from 1996 thru 2000 skip 2001, and again 2002), and the Playoffs all 7 times (the last 7 consecutive seasons).
The team kept up the winning ways in 1999 by winning the North Jersey Cup, Eagles Mixed tournament, and the Boston Challenge Cup.
Many of the players in the club are former national players for their respective countries.
The club has also produced international players who rose to the challenge and competed in recent international tournaments namely Junior Pan-Am games in 1996, Central American and Caribbean (CAC) games in 1998 and Pan-Am games in 1999, and 2003.
TSF has a strong tradition of winning, and is vying to continue along this path for the upcoming NEFHA season.
